Python

Python is a widely used high-level programming language for general-purpose programming, created by Guido van Rossum and first released in 1991. An interpreted language, Python has a design philosophy which emphasizes code readability (notably using whitespace indentation to delimit code blocks rather than curly brackets or keywords), and a syntax which allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code than possible in languages such as C++ or Java

Python interpreters are available for many operating systems, allowing Python code to run on a wide variety of systems. CPython, the reference implementation of Python, is open source software and has a community-based development model, as do nearly all of its variant implementations. CPython is managed by the non-profit Python Software Foundation.Python features a dynamic type system and automatic memory management and supports multiple programming paradigms, including object-oriented, imperative, functional programming, and procedural styles. It has a large and comprehensive standard library.

Why Python?

Python is a simple and powerful programming language. It has efficient high-level data structures and effective approach towards object-oriented programming. The language possesses syntax and dynamic typing, making it a supreme choice for rapid application development and scripting on almost all the platforms. It can be used for everything from software development to web development and scientific applications. The programming language is used across some leading companies such as Google, Yahoo, NASA, CERN, etc.

Course objectives

Owing to the fact that Python is one of the easiest programming languages to learn, it has become the first and foremost choice for individuals going forward. There is a rapid proliferation in the market for the individuals who are equipped with Python skills. We aim to acquaint country's students with this language in order to improve their employability quotient and worthiness in the market.
